Meet Lauren
Lauren Perreau got an early start in Hollywood as a child actor in several television series including guest-starring roles. She then went on to work behind and in front of the camera on major productions and Emmy-winning projects in Los Angeles and Paris, France (Lauren grew up in France from age nine to adult).
But her true passion for music and singing started at a later age, focusing mainly on American song standards and French signature tunes.
Lauren considers herself a chanteuse but has a versatile repertoire in many styles. She has played with several bands professionally and has also recorded and sung backup for several major acts. Lauren loves to inspire and uplift her audience, whether in concert or for special occasions.
Lauren has teamed up with Solomon Melnick, who in his own right is a top-drawer entertainer. Lauren and Solomon truly enjoy performing timeless duets together. Their sound, style and stage presence is sure to enhance any gathering or event.
Meet Solomon
Solomon began singing as soon as he could stand by his dinner table and recite the blessings for wine and bread for the Friday night Sabbath.
At age 7, he sang in his Temple choir. In no time, he was learning to harmonize by ear.
Solomon began his knack for songwriting in his early 20’s, while attending college. Since then, he has written well over 100 songs.
In the mid to late 70’s, Solomon was literally “singing for his supper” (and a salary with tips, of course) at the renowned Great American Food & Beverage Company in West Hollywood, California. “Alumni” of the establishment include Katie Segal (of “Married with Children”), Rickie Lee Jones, and Severin Brown (brother of Jackson Brown).
From there, in 1985, Solomon wrote the music for an off-Broadway musical, “Bagels,” while living in the Broadway District of New York City. He was also the play’s musical director and star lead character.
In the 90’s, while building up his “Solomon, the Singing Jewelry Man” business, he created his “Around the World in 60 Minutes” one-man show. The show is a musical journey to various places in America, Europe, and Israel, with songs (in English) and jokes! He has an alternative show entitled “Solomon Sings Sinatra.”
Solomon and Lauren perform for private parties, large social affairs, business banquets and fundraisers.
